NIT Admission; Any qualified applicant may submit an online admission application to the National Institute of Transport (NIT) for the academic year 2023–2024, regardless of color, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or place of birth. Potential students may submit an application at any time to any of the National Institute of Transport’s undergraduate, postgraduate, masters, diploma, doctorate, bachelors, pre-masters, distance education learning, international, and Ph.D. programs (Courses), and they will be accepted if they meet all admission requirements. NIT was founded in 1975 as the National Transport Corporation’s training division (NTC).NIT was given the task of enhancing the human resource capacities of transport employees and middle-level managers at NTC subsidiary companies. The National Institute of Transport – NIT Admission Regional Transport Companies (RETCOs), Usafiri Dar-as-Salaam Limited (UDA), National Bus Services Limited (KAMATA), and others were among these subsidiary businesses. The need for an institute that will cover all modes of transportation was recognized in 1982. The Institute increased the scope of its duties and activities. NIT was re-established as a result. The Institute offers Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) programs at the Certificate, Diploma, and Degree levels and has full accreditation from the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) (National Technical Awards -NTA level 4 to level 8). (NIT Admission) Additionally, it holds Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT International) accreditation, allowing it to instruct and assess CILT programs leading to international introductory certificates, international certificates, an ordinary diploma, and an advanced diploma in logistics and transport. Additionally, the Institute offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and an MBA in Logistics and Transport Management through partnerships with the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Consult, respectively.
