The need for an institute that will cover all modes of transportation was recognized in 1982. The Institute increased the scope of its duties and activities. NIT was re-established as a result. To submit an application, a non-refundable fee of Tshs.10,000/= must be paid. PSV, HGV, INDUSTRIAL, and VIP course applicants must pay a pre-test fee of $20,000 and successfully complete a practical pre-test before applying to their respective programs.
