Sundowns Hammer Arrows jumanneomary333@gmail.com, October 26, 2024 Mamelodi Sundowns were too strong for Golden Arrows, hammering them 5-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. Thapelo Morena scored the opener after just 13 minutes after being set up by Lucas Ribeiro and slotting the ball into the top corner. Iqraam Rayners made it 2-0 with the easiest of tap-ins after Sundowns broke through the Arrows’ defence and Tashreeq Matthews set up his teammate. The score-line could’ve been much clearer going into the break, but Arrows goalkeeper Edward Maova came up with a few good saves to keep his side in the game. The home side even did one better three minutes when Peter Shalulile finally broke his deadlock, much to joy of his teammates and the Yellow Nation in the stands. In the 81st minute, teenager Kutlwano Letlhaku put the icing on the top after beating Maova with a fine finish just seconds after his introduction.
