How to Register for Course in NIT

The process for admission

  • To submit an online application, candidates should go to the NIT website at www.nit.ac.tz.
  • For the programs they apply for, applicants should read and comprehend the rules and admission requirements.
  • Candidates should make sure they have sufficient knowledge of their desired programs, taking into account the competition and subject passes in their application. 
  • four or six exams, depending on your career goals.
  • Before submitting their application for admission to the Institute, candidates with foreign degrees should have their degrees validated and equated by the relevant regulatory bodies. (NIT Admission)
Registration process
  • For the academic year 2020–2023, the Rector of the National Institute of Transport (NIT) extends an invitation to qualified applicants for admission to number of programs.
  • Candidates must submit their applications online through this portal and follow the instructions to the letter.
  • After obtaining control number, payment may be made via mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, and Airtel Money) or directly into an NIT bank account.

Application fee

Application Fee The electronic application form can be found on the Institute website at www.nit.ac.tz. To submit an application, non-refundable fee of Tshs.10,000/= must be paid.
PSV, HGV, INDUSTRIAL, and VIP course applicants must pay pre-test fee of $20,000 and successfully complete practical pre-test before applying to their respective programs.
For the application, applicants must pay non-refundable application fee of Tshs.30,000/= for Tanzanian applicants and USD 25 for non-Tanzanian applicants for the Masters of Business Administration in Logistic and Transport Management.
