England Identify Next Coach

Former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is in pole position to become the new England manager, succeeding Gareth Southgate who quit after the Euros.

Tuchel has been out of work since leaving Munich in May after just one season in charge at the Allianz Arena.

The FA are said to be in talks with representatives of Tuchel to become the new England boss, according to Sky Sports, with Lee Carsley currently overseeing the Three Lions on an interim basis.

After initial enquiry to Pep Guardiola’s camp in July yielded no developments, the FA reportedly made Tuchel their primary choice.

The German tactician comes highly recommended, and his CV speaks volume, having won league titles with both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, as well as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup at Stamford Bridge.
