Campbell’s Scintillating Form Continues In Belgium

South Africa U20 talent Shandre Campbell has continued his impressive form in Belgium with Club NXT.

The reserve team for Club Brugge, who are in the second tier of Belgian football boasts some of the most promising talent in the country.

Campbell netted a stunning brace on his debut, coming on as a late substitute, before joining up with the Amajita squad for the U20 Cosafa Cup, where he won the Player of the Tournament honour as they won the title and qualified for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 19-year-old, who joined Brugge in a deal worth around R15-million, missed out on three games whilst on international duty but returned with a bang.

Last week, in his first start for the club in the Challenger Pro League, he netted a stunning brace, played as a left winger, in the 3-1 win over Lierse.

And in his second start this weekend, he was selected in the 10 role, and netted another impressive goal from range, leveling matters in the 1-1 draw against RFC Lüttich.

Campbell will be aiming to continue this rich vein of form with the intention of breaking into the first-team set up and the senior national team over the coming months.
