Mamelodi Sundowns missed a chance to move top of the Betway Premiership standings after a shock 1-0 defeat to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The home side had a great chance just five minutes in, but Cole Alexander shot straight at Denis Onyango.

Onyango had to react again in the sixth minute after Oswin Appollis was played through as the Ugandan rushed off his line to collect.
In the 29th minute, Hlayisa Chauke miscued his shot inside the box after the Sundowns defence failed to clear their lines.
Chances were far and few between the sides as the first period ended 0-0.
Iqraam Rayners mistimed a pass from Teboho Mokoena in the 60th minute in the Polokwane box as the rolled away from him.
The best chance of the match fell to Rise and Shine when Appollis played in Bonginkosi Dhlamini who fired past Onyango, but Chauke missed a goal bound header in the 66th minute.
Matuludi then tried his luck from just outside the 18-yard area with a thunderbolt in the 70th minute but his shot sailed off target.
The Rise and Shine wingback was in the mood and unleashed another shot in the 72nd minute forcing Onyango into a top draw save.
Phuti Mohafe’s charges deservedly took the lead in the 82nd minute as skipper Bulelani Nikani pounced on a set-piece to slot past Onyango and make it 1-0.
City thwarted Sundowns’ late threat in the game to come away with all the three points and move to fourth on the log.
