TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic was full of admiration for Betway Premiership early pace-setters Orlando Pirates following their league encounter at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening calling them a “very strong team”.
The Rockets slumped to their fourth league defeat in five matches after going 2-0 to the Buccaneers courtesy of goals in either half from Thalente Mbatha and Relebohile Mofokeng. Pirates not only set a club record for six consecutive wins – a feat achieved in 2002/03, but also opened up a six-point gap on second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
The German tactician reckons that his charges were their own worst enemy on the night even though he admitted they came up against a top Bucs side which saw the Rockets drop to the base of the log standings with just one point.
“I believe that we came very ready to the game,” Ramovic said in his post-match interview on SuperSport TV.
“We made a lot of small mistakes from the build-up, and we got two very cheap goals, but I don’t want to take any credit away from the opponents.
“Very strong team, very good players, nice, beautiful club, top coaching staff, but we concede goals that we should not.
