Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that Edson Castillo will be sidelined for four to five months after fracturing his fibula against SuperSport United.
Castillo had received his first start under Nasreddine Nabi after previously impressing off the bench, but it only lasted 33 minutes.

Early signs weren’t great after he had to leave the pitch on a stretcher and Chiefs now confirmed the damning assessment.
“It is with great dismay that we announce that Edson Castillo will be sidelined for a period of four to five months due to a fractured fibula sustained during the match against SuperSport United on Saturday evening in Polokwane,” the club announced on Monday.
“The serious injury occurred in the first half, as a result of a vicious tackle on him inside the opponents’ 18-yard box.”
