DDC Title Race Continues

The DStv Diski Challenge title race will continue this weekend with five horses of Stellenbosch FC, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, and Cape Town City currently in contention.

Table toppers Stellenbosch FC will pay a visit to struggling Marumo Gallants at CUT Stadium on Saturday morning. Gallants are yet to win a game after eight matches played, while Stellies are targeting their third consecutive win and want to keep their top stop.

At the very same time, Pirates will welcome SuperSport United at Isak Styl Stadium in what is expected to be a mouth-watering clash. The Buccaneers seem to have found their groove as they have won four of their last six matches. United on the other side are struggling to settle – they’ve played four draws in eight matches, won two, and lost one.

Chiefs, meanwhile, have a bye this weekend as they would’ve played Royal AM, who have been suspended from the league after failing to honour their first fixtures.

On Sunday, Cape Town City will lock horns with Chippa United at the slaughterhouse Malta Park, the home of the Citizens. The blue side of Cape Town has won all their home matches this season, while Chippa haven’t won a single match this season.

The weekend will be closed by Sekhukhune United against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday. This fixture has a lot in it after Babina Noko put into bed Sundowns’ title hopes last season.
