Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has reacted to his side moving top of the table with four wins from their opening four games.
Pirates moved on from their shock Carling Knockout Cup exit this weekend to Magesi, where they were stunned 3-2 at Orlando Stadium.
But the MTN8 champions quickly moved on from that disappointment with a 2-0 win over SuperSport United, which moved them to 12 points from a possible 12 this season.
Evidence Makgopa and Deon Hotto’s goals meant they have now scored eight goals, and conceded one with wins over Chippa United, Polokwane City, Richards Bay and SuperSport.
“If the four victories in a row was something I expected or not? It doesn’t matter, what I can say, we were working really hard to make it possible that’s what we do, so far in the league we’re doing a very good job,” Riveiro said when asked by iDiski Times about the impressive start to the league campaign.

“They guys are performing in a really good level, in defence, especially the team was very good, and it’s about working for it, more than expecting to get victories and that part of the job has been very good with the group and now tomorrow we start again. We meet AmaZulu here [on Friday] and we want to go to the fifth [win] hopefully.”
Pirates continue their league action at Orlando Stadium on Friday when they host winless AmaZulu (19h30).
